About Us
SIS Group started in 1995 when the Internet began carving its way into the infrastructure of most medium to large corporate enterprises. Back then, the "Net" was still a relatively unknown commodity used mainly by academics and modern-day technical pioneers.
Then known as The Planet, the company operated out of the 2GB/2CH building in Sussex Street, Sydney as a commercial dial-up ISP and web research company.
In 1999, the Internet went through a rapid expansion. The ISP market became flooded with providers offering Internet access at substantially reduced monthly costs. To compete in this market place SIS Group was born and immediately launched "Bullet Internet" - an inexpensive (yet high quality) dial-up connection aimed at the residential user. By the year 2000, up to 5,000 subscribers dialled in regularly and retention rates remained steady (around 85%).
This was achieved by developing a robust network infrastructure utilising both Open Source and commercial offerings. SIS group also hosts some of Australia's finest web sites, which, to this day, enjoys continuous server uptime of over 364 days.
Basing itself in Sydney, SIS Group is now providing high-speed xDSL business solutions Australia-wide complementing our already established suite of services which include: Dial-up Internet, Fixed line services, web hosting, networking and robust co-location.
